Digital calipers along with my tape sizing guide is the best option for measuring yourself
The $10~ calipers from amazon, walmart, home depot and harbour freight will work.
I've had this mitutoyo caliper for for like 10 years. if i need to measure something and its under 6in or 150mm it gets measured with these.
