Bad advice and overthinking

Most of the messages I get about issues would be solved if the care and usage page was read.

Scarline:

"I have to have the scarline at the rollover point"

No you don't!! with a air or pushrod device you will limit the amount of skin under tension.

I wonder how many people have sabotaged their restoration by doing this?

Slippage:

"I use dish soap and it keeps slipping"

Don't use dish soap or any liquid soap as they like to leave oils behind.

Oily residue:

"The next day after I wash it there's a oily residue"

Bad information: "it's the plasticizer leaching out"

No it's the moisturizing oils from the soap used as there is no plasticizer in the silicone.

I can't see through it:

"How am I supposed to tell if I have to much skin under the gripper"

You don't need to just roll the skin up 3/4 up the inner gripper.

"But I can't have more than .125 in of skin under the gripper or I'll never be able to restore.

Not true. You have a mile a of gripper why not use most of it? If you're fighting to keep the device on how are you going to restore at all. With air or pushrod devices use the deep grip method and put more skin inside the tension area while taking advantage of most of the gripper.

It doesn't fit:

"I can't fit my glands inside the car-1"

It's not necessary as the car-1 and the glands are pushed away from each other when air is added.
