Shipping and the path it takes

Shipping. Once I drop it off at the post office or ups it's out of my control. All I can do is file a claim if it's lost.
USPS takes whatever path it wants when directing packages through their system. Complaining to me is a waste of time because I can't do any more then you can. I don't have any special access to their system.
One package is on its way to france but USPS sent it to Canada why I don't know because it was back in us customs a day or two later and then on it way to France.
Packages stuck in customs: USPS or your local post.
If your package is stuck in customs, you may need to contact them to pay your fees, duties, or taxes. If it's being held at your local post office, there might be an address issue with it. So the best thing to do is contact them.
Ups.
If you use ups for your international shipping, they will take care of customs clearance and collecting fees, taxes, and duties. It costs a little more but is more reliable. If there's an issue with address or paperwork, they will contact me for my part of it and they will contact you for your part of it. That's why I recommend UPS for international.
Lost packages:
Insurance is part of ups's service. I purchase insurance for USPS international packages and I can file claim 40 days after the ship date if it's lost.
Ups either one of us can file a claim with them they are actually easier they don't cover their cost, only the product. Over the 5 years I've been doing this, I've only filed like four or five claims with UPS. USPS is probably 15-20 but the insurance has paid out every time and I've been able to refund the order.
