Scarliners?

I'm curious on how many people have sabotaged their restoration by forcing the scarline to the rollover point with a pushrod or air device? i've seen complaints were someone has stated that they have been restoring for years with no progress. is limiting the amount of skin under direct tension one of the causes?

comment down below if you have experienced this or know anyone that has and maybe explain why that way was chosen to put on a device? you can use a fake name and email or no email its not required for commenting. not looking to shame anyone maybe help someone else not fall into the same trap.

doing some research confirmed what i already knew: more skin under tension is going to lead to faster results!

lets say if you only have 5mm of skin under tension and skin grows at 10% of that you would have potentially 0.5mm more at 4-6 weeks

now compare that to 20mm in that same time frame you would possibly have 2mm

so if you pull most or all of the skin out of the tension area your not doing anything useful for restoration. forget about the scarline, later on in your restoration when you have a lot of skin to work with then work towards getting the scarline at the rollover if you want.

having the tension spread out over more skin is going to be more comfortable also.

Bad advice and overthinking

Most of the messages I get about issues would be solved if the care and usage page was read. Scarline: "I have to have the scarline at the rollover point" No you don't!! with a air or pushrod device
