EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)

Businesses shipping physical goods to the European Union must comply with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which began direct application across member states on August 12, 2026. This law regulates all shipping boxes, tape, labels, and padding materials with strict environmental rules and no minimum volume exemption for small sellers.

there is currently no easy workaround. etsy, amazon, aliexpress nope. sending under just my name with no business attached also no.

I read several several shipping company's requirements. also etsy and other platforms won't let you buy if i don't have the required registration id#.

I have to register with each eu country and most want you to use a local agent so that will add more fees.

I can ship to the uk and switzerland currently the EU MEPs are working on simplifying PPWR so maybe it'll make it easier for small business to comply.
